PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily recognizable the completion of a full charge and the life of a battery. SOLUTION: In the method for indicating battery residual capacity, electric energy based on the current and voltage of a battery mounted on a vehicle with an electric motor is integrated, and the residual capacity of a battery-1 is indicated on a battery residual capacity meter 13 depending on the integrated value. After the full charge of the battery residual capacity is indicated at charge completion of the battery-1, the residual capacity is indicated corresponding to the integrated value. At the same time, the life of the battery is indicated separately from the residual capacity indication of the battery-1 by checking whether the battery capacity at charge completion has decreased to a level equal to or less than a predetermined residual capacity.
