PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for bleaching a cellulosic fiber knitted or a woven fabric giving excellent whiteness that is maintained without yellowing or browning for a long time, with a ozone gas, without using a chlorine bleaching agent. SOLUTION: This method for ozone gas composite bleaching comprises exposing the cellulosic knitted or woven fabric subjected to moisture absorption and swelling under an ozone gas atmosphere, bleaching the cellulosic knitted or woven fabric, subsequently dipping the bleached knitted or woven fabric in an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide and carrying out auxiliary bleaching of the knitted or woven fabric with the hydrogen peroxide or conducting composite auxiliary bleaching of hydrogen peroxide bleaching with hydrosulfite bleaching then washing the bleached knitted or woven fabric with water and drying the resultant knitted or woven fabric. |
