PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic rubber which prevents an electronic device from being charged. SOLUTION: The synthetic rubber free from electrostatic charges is manufactured with mixing an acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, an antistatic agent, active zinc oxide, zinc stearate, fillers, an ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer, a plasticizer and stearic acid at 140 deg.C for 8-12 min by kneading. Dicapryl phthalate peroxide and a foaming agent are added to the rubber 2 min prior at the end of the kneading. The mixture thus obtained is brought to a roller to form a synthetic rubber sheet. The sheet is chopped to pieces with an appropriate size which are put to a mold and are exposed to a high pressure and to the temperature of 160 deg.C. The pieces are used, after cooling, for articles such as footwear free from electrostatic charge.
