摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease weight of a shaft having a pulley while securing a sufficient rigidity. SOLUTION: This belt type continuously variable transmission comprises a primary pulley disposed on a rotating shaft on the driving side and a secondary pulley disposed on a rotating shaft on the driven side, and a belt is hung on both pulleys. The rotation shaft 13 is formed of a first shaft part 13a integrated with a first flange part 21a having a cone surface 23, and a second shaft part 13b having a hollow hole 44 in which a second flange part 21b for forming a fixed pulley 21 integrally with the first flange part 21a. A first shaft joint end surface 37a is formed on the first shaft part 13a, a second shaft joint end surface 37b is formed on the second shaft part 13b, an annular joint surface 38a is formed on the first flange part 21a, an annular joint surface 38b is formed on the second flange part 21b, and they are joined with each other by friction welding.
