PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine ensuring that the operation of powering the machine when opening a game parlor can be achieved with minimum operation, regardless of whether or not the game parlor requires backup functions. SOLUTION: An initialization switch 85 comprises a switch which cannot be self-contained when in an on-state, and a lock means 96 capable of keeping the switch 85 on is provided independently of the switch 85. In a game parlor which requires backup functions, the operation of powering the game machine when opening the parlor requires the switch 85 to be operated only once, together with a power switch 80; in a game parlor which does not require the backup functions, the switch 85 is kept on by the lock means 96, so that, to power the machine, only the power switch 80 should be turned on as is done for conventional machines.
