PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a small ink jet head and a small ink jet recorder by reducing projection of a bonding medium at the time of bonding a printed board, e.g. an FPC, to an ink jet head and increasing the bonding strength while saving the space. SOLUTION: The ink jet head comprises a nozzle substrate in which nozzles for ejecting ink are formed, liquid chambers communicating with the nozzles, an electrode substrate on which an energy generating means for ejecting ink from the nozzle by increasing the pressure in the liquid chamber, and a printed board for supplying power to the energy generating means wherein the printed board is compression connected with the electrode substrate through an electrical connection member. Between a plurality of electrodes (17) arranged on the printed board in the connecting region of the printed board and the electrode substrate, a supporting member (71) for keeping a gap between the printed board and the electrode substrate at the time of compression connection is provided.
