PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod capable of preventing the reduction of extent of its bending at a fitting part having a small diameter and producing a smooth joined rod touch. SOLUTION: This tip rod 4 of the fishing rod has a fitting male part 12 consisting of a low elastic modulus prepreg P2 for grinding and formed at the circumferential surface of its rod end side. On the other hand, a tip rod- receiving rod 3 has a fitting female part 14 consisting of the low elastic modulus prepreg P2 for grinding and formed at the inner circumferential surface of its tip end side. By grinding the low elastic modulus prepregs P2 for grinding and adjusting their diameters, the fitting male part 12 and the fitting female part 14 are formed.
