PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protein that is involved in the regulation of the cell cycle, and to provide a polynucleotide encoding the same. SOLUTION: The objective protein is a cell cycle-regulating protein that regulates the specificity of binding the SCF complex to p27. A polynucleotide encoding the protein, an oligonucleotide that hybridizes to the polynucleotide under a stringent condition, an antibody that binds to the above protein or a fragment thereof, a method for screening a substance that has an activity of inhibiting the above protein to bind to p27 and is effective to suppress the progress of the cell cycle, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the above polynucleotide, the above antibody or a fragment thereof or a substance obtained by the above screening method are also provided. |
