PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit that properly corrects an image. SOLUTION: The image processing unit is provided with a color space conversion processing section that receives an image obtained by picking up an image of an object (S01) and converts the received image into a color signal in a uniform color space (S02), a scene discrimination processing section that discriminates scene information denoting the property of the received image (S04), a noise elimination filter decision section that decides a noise elimination filter used to correct the image (S05-S09), and a noise elimination processing section that corrects the image in the uniform color space according to the decided noise elimination filter (S15). |
