PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the difficulty with the prior art, where a piping arrangement in an outdoor machine is complicated in order to accommodate parts used for composition control, and where an outdoor machine box structure is large-sized, and further provide a changeover apparatus capable of simply changing over an ordinary heat pump apparatus and a heat pump apparatus of which the capability is controllable. SOLUTION: A composition adjusting apparatus 25 is provided, constructed integrally in the interior of a different box from that of an outdoor machine 21, in which a non-azeotropic refrigerant in encapsulated. Connection pipings are adapted to be demountable in opening/closing valves 28, 29 provided in the outdoor machine for connecting the composition control apparatus 25 and the outdoor machine 21. Further, signal lines 30, 31 for driving a solenoid valve for operation of the composition control apparatus are also constituted demountably on an electronic board of the outdoor machine 21.
