PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which prevent an untransferred developer from sticking on an electrostatic charging means 2 by controlling the frictional electrification of untransferred toner, eliminates a defect in electrostatic charging and a defective image by efficiently collecting the untransferred developer to an electrostatic charging means 2, and makes good use of advantages of a cleanerless system as a cleanerless system image forming apparatus which removes, collects, and reuses an untransferred developer on an image carrier 1 after a transfer process through development simultaneous cleaning. SOLUTION: A 1st developer electrostatic charging quantity control means 7 and a 2nd developer electrostatic charging quantity control means 8 are provided on the downstream side of a transfer part (d); and the 1st developer electrostatic charging quantity control means 7 performs electrostatic charging processing to the opposite polarity from the normal polarity and the 2nd developer electrostatic charging quantity control means electrostatically charges a remaining developer on an electrostatically charged image carrier to the normal polarity. |
