PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dial plate (indicator board) used for compound type vehicle instruments, giving cubic effect to the display surface of the dial plate by creating a step on a part of that display, as well as economizing cost in manufacture of the dial plate. SOLUTION: This dial plate is provided with one light transmittance state substrate as its material. The substrate has characters/scales of transmittancy for plural instruments and a light transmittance display corresponding to each warning indicator section given by printing means. By clipping out desirable printed area from the above dial plate material to obtain one or more notch indicator boards and the remaining dial plate area, then such dial plate/notch indicator boards are assembled into an instrument housing, and the dial plate and the notch indicator boards will have a step in the instrument depth direction to locate and secure the instrument itself.
