PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for detecting illegal copy of program, by which an illegal copy can be efficiently detected without enlarging the load of communications. SOLUTION: A network as the method for detecting illegal copy of program, connecting a programmable controller and a computer for applying an instruction through a package message to the programmable controller on the basis of a prescribed application program(AP), is provided with a step for adding identification information for identifying the AP in the package message to be transmitted from the computer to the programmable controller and transmitting the packet message and a step for detecting the illegal copy of the AP by making a unit for dealing with network protocol, which receives the packet message and connected to the network, compare the identification information in the packet message with the identification information of an AP, that its own station has. |
