PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connection module that helps to improve workability in connecting a connecting optical cord to an outside optical cord. SOLUTION: An optical branching module 8 has a module body 16, which is provided with an inner and an outer bend radius controlling member 35, 36 in the storage part 28 for a connecting optical cord. In an area between these radius controlling members 35, 36, an extra length of a connecting coated optical fiber of a tape 12 is stored in a wound state with the minimum bend radius secured, and is taken out of the module body 16. The connecting coated optical fiber of the tape 12 is in a state freely pushed in or taken out of the storage part 28. This connecting tape 12 and an outside coated optical fiber of a tape 11 are connected by an optical connector 20 which is retained in a connector holding member 44 provided in the rear face of the module body 16.
