PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alignment system in which ferrules to be mated are easily aligned even if the number of pairs of mating ferrules is increased, in a connector in which ferrules are mated with each other using an alignment pin. SOLUTION: A first and a second optical fiber cable 71, 16 are connected by a first and a second optic connector 14, 12. Each second ferrule 32 is mateable with a respective one of first ferrules 68 to define plural pairs of mating ferrules. At least one alignment pin 72 projects from one of the ferrule 32, 68 in each pair and is insertable into an alignment hole 58 in the other ferrule in each pair thereof. At least one guide pin 60, for the purpose of facilitating alignment between the alignment pin 72 and the alignment hole 58, projects from one of the first and second optic connectors 12, 14 and is insertable into a guide hole 86 in the other of the first and second optic connectors 12, 14.
