PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal in which an absent incoming call or an unread incoming mail can be displayed and recognizability is enhanced for a user. SOLUTION: Access sign LEDs 206 are arranged on the opposite sides of a multifunction key in function keys 203 interposed between the LCD(liquid crystal display) 202 and the number keys 204 of a portable telephone terminal. Upon receiving an absent incoming call or an unread incoming mail, the access sign LEDs 206 are flickered or lighted and the flickering or lighting operation is sustained until a user performs an operation for recognizing the content. Consequently, an absent incoming call or an unread incoming mail can be recognized even from a remote place or in a dark place.
