PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of changing over of microscopic examination methods, to shorten the time for microscopic examination and to reduce cost. SOLUTION: An optical path changeover optical system 20 is connected to a light exit port 8a of a light guide light source device 8. A changeover rotating body 22, provided with a mirror 24 in this optical path changeover optical system 20, is rotated, by which the optical path of the illumination light emitted from the light guide light source device 8 is changed over to either of respective light guides 7 and 17.
