PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphite material and a method of manufacturing the graphite material industrially advantageously, which have a stable quality suitable for negative electrodes of an efficient lithium secondary battery having high capacity. SOLUTION: By the graphite material for negative electrodes of lithium secondary battery having a specific structure by X-Ray diffraction method manufactured by making carbon fiber milled which is obtained by grinding the carbon fiber which uses mesophase pitch as a raw material into the graphite continuously, and at least one pair of the electrodes by which arranged facing oppositely each other in a furnace main part, the carbon fiber milled which is fluidized in the furnace main part, is heated by directly supplying electricity, and the carbon fiber milled of the area between these counter electrodes is made into the graphite continuously. |
