PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach an edge without waiting for the whole drying by forcibly drying only the peripheral surface part of sliding door paper, with the sliding door paper stuck with paste, and to dry even in the state of edge attaching nails existing at the sliding door frame peripheral surface part when repapering the sliding door. SOLUTION: This drying device for a sliding door is composed of a vertical support base 1; a lower presser bar 4 horizontally disposed and fixed to the front face of the support base 1 orthogonally to the support base 1, and an upper presser bar 3 slidable in a vertical direction to form a plane together with the lower presser bar; flat cushioning materials 21, 25 stretched on the mutually opposed faces of the upper and lower presser bars; ribbon-like surface heating bodies 22, 26 disposed on the surfaces of the cushioning materials; and a mesh heat transfer bodies 24, 28 knitted with fine metallic wire with cushioning materials 23, 27 of square cross section as cores on the side where the sliding door frame peripheral surfaces of the surface heating bodies are positioned.
