PURPOSE: A primary electric cell using aluminum in an anode is provided, to improve the voltage and the capacity of a cell, to prevent the self-discharge and the generation of gas and to suppress the corrosion. CONSTITUTION: The electric cell comprises a cathode, an anode containing aluminum or an aluminum alloy and an electrolyte between the electrodes, wherein the electrolyte comprises at least one ion selected from the group consisting of a sulfate ion and a nitrate ion, and at least one additive selected from the group consisting of an organic acid, a salt of an organic acid, an organic acid anhydride, an organic acid ester, an organic acid ion and their derivatives. |
