The present invention is directed to compounds of formula (I), formula (Ia), and formula (Ib). Wherein each of R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, R<4>, R<a>, and R<b> has been defined herein. The invention is also directed to a process for the preparation, the use and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds described above. These novel compounds are useful in therapy, particularly for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
