The switch capsule (10) has a layered body provided with electrically conductive layers, its underside layer (M3) providing the contact surface (13) for the switch capsule and having a spring elastic characteristic, provided by a spring elastic layer, e.g. a silicon layer, on the opposite side to the contact surface. An Independent claim for a switch mat switch is also included.
