The invention relates to a fuel injection valve (1), in particular, for directly injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. Said fuel injection valve comprises a valve closing body (4) that, together with a valve seating (6), which is provided on a valve seat body (5), forms a tight seat. The fuel injection valve also comprises a swirl plate (34) with fuel passages (35), whereby the swirl plate (34) is made of several swirl elements (36), and the swirl elements (36) each have the same number of fuel passages (35). The swirl elements (36) are offset from one another in such a manner that the fuel passages (35) at least partially overlap.
