Nitrogen-containing compounds represented by the following general formula I, which are useful as CCR3 inhibitors to be used in preventing and treating allergic inflammatory diseases caused by leukergy of lymphocytes, eosinocytes, basophilic leukocytes and the like, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof: Ar (CH2)l A (CH2)m B I wherein l is an integer of from 0 to 2; m is an integer of from 0 to 5; Ar represents aryl such as 2-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinolyl, phenyl or pyridyl; A represents a nitrogen-containing divalent group such as CONH-; and B represents, for example, 4-(diphenylmethyl)piperidino.
