A formula for dental care products including a carrier, a first dental agent and microbeads including a second dental agent. One embodiment of a composition is a unique, three-pronged solution to the problem of dentinal hypersensitivity when the first agent and the second agent are the same. A dentifrice composition includes potassium nitrate. A portion of the potassium nitrate is included within microbeads to provide a longer-term, timed-release relief. Another portion of the potassium nitrate is freely available within the toothpaste. In addition, the microbeads physical block dentinal tubules to provide further relief. The microbeads may also contain other dental agents for other purposes related to oral hygiene or tooth care. |
