PURPOSE: A herbal electronic prescription system and a method thereby are provided to give more herbal prescriptions to patients within a short time by enabling pharmacists to swiftly receive prescriptions according to various patients' physical constitutions and conditions and to carry out herbal preparation. CONSTITUTION: The patient terminal(3), the pharmacist terminal(5), and the special pharmacist terminal(7) are connected to a network(1). The server(9) comprises a program module to generate a herbal electronic prescription on-line as an output result based on input. The server(9) is connected to the database part(11), having data necessary for herbal electronic prescriptions, so that data exchange can be made. The web management module(51) maintains and manages the connection state of a terminal if the terminal is connected through the network(1). The member management module(53) manages members who access the server(9) or conducts authentication processing. The prescription processing module(55) automatically generates a herbal prescription according to the contents of inputted data. The input data processing module(57) processes the data inputted through the patient terminal(3), the pharmacist terminal(5) or the special pharmacist terminal(7), and stores the data in the database part(11). The output data processing module(59) outputs the contents processed at the server(9) or the contents stored in the database part(11) to the patient terminal(3), the pharmacist terminal(5) or the special pharmacist terminal(7).
