The security assembly consists of a driver identification card (14) which may be entered into a fixed data exchange unit (12) to take up running, starting and stopping positions. The card has grooves (30) along the edges which are engaged by flanges and scraping elements located within the reception tunnel and entry (28). The engagement acts to prevent the entry of dust and other contaminants.
