PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the sense of click of an adjust lever well at all times. SOLUTION: In a mechanism 66 for adjusting a platen gap of a recording apparatus, in a state while a hook part 73 of the adjust lever 68 coupled to rotate integrally with an end part of an eccentric axial part 72 of a carriage guide shaft 26 is engaged with a groove 71 of a groove array 67 formed to a right side frame 17, the carriage guide shaft is rotated by intermittently driving the adjust lever, whereby the platen gap between a recording head set to the carriage guide shaft via a carriage and a platen is adjusted. A spring body 70 for pressing the hook part of the adjust lever towards the groove array is set to the adjust lever.
