PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pneumatic tire which can reduce cavernous resonance by lowering the tire mode frequency with a change of tire construction. SOLUTION: A reduction in weight can be minimized and the rigidity of a tread part 32 can be greatly lowered by providing an inner belt layer 26 of a belt width of BW and an outer belt layer 28 of a belt width of 0.8 BW or less, and by narrowing the belt width of at least one belt layer of the two belt layers. Thus, the tire mode frequency can be lowered nearly to a level in line with the cavernous resonance frequency, thereby lowering the cavernous resonance by offsetting an axle force. Therefore, the cavernous resonance, i.e., noises, can be easily reduced by changing the tire construction as in this invention.
