PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive, high quality vehicle door, which is safe and excellent in soundproofing performance. SOLUTION: The vehicle door (1) includes a cover (12), and a structure (29) consisting of an outer wall (4) and an inner wall (6) provided with at least one opening. The cover has a panel (14) fixed to the structure and being a seal to the inner wall, and a frame (16) surrounding the panel. According to this invention, the panel is self-supporting, and the door includes a fixing means (20) having a first part (20b, 20c) fitted on the structure and a second part (20a) fitted on the panel, wherein the first part and second part works together so that the panel is directly fixed to the structure while the frame is supported by the panel.
