PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paddy field working machine capable of preventing misoperation due to the hunting of the machine caused by the roughness of a cultivated land. SOLUTION: In this paddy field working machine equipped with an automatic fluctuation-controlling means 29B for controlling vertical fluctuation of the operation unit 4 based on vertical motions of a grounding body 15 attached to the operation unit 4 and a sensitivity-setting means 29C for setting a control sensitivity of the automatic fluctuation-controlling means 29B based on an operative position of a manual setter 38, the sensitivity-setting means 29C selects a control selectively corresponding to the operative position of the manual setter 38 as the control selectivity of the automatic fluctuation-controlling means 29B, when a pitching angular velocity of a traveling machine body 1 which is detected by a detection means A attached to the traveling machine body 1 is not greater than a threshold value, and selects such a control selectivity that is less sensitive than the control selectivity corresponding to the operative position of the manual setter 38 as the control selectivity of the automatic fluctuation-controlling means 29B, when the pitching angular velocity of the traveling machine body 1 is not smaller than the threshold value.
