METHOD FOR SEPARATING AND RECOVERING OF Mo AND V

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating and recovering Mo and V high in purity selectively, when separating and recovering Mo and V coexisting in a solution by a solvent extraction. SOLUTION: V is selectively extracted from the salt solution by arranging a pH of water phase to be in the range of 6 to 10, using an extractant of a quaternary ammonium salt, in particularly trioctylmethylammonium chloride. A little of Mo extracted in the quaternary ammonium salt, is removed by washing with a V-containing solution. And, V is also able to be back extracted by contacting the quaternary ammonium salt wherein V is extracted, with an aqueous solution of NaOH.
