PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a health promotion apparatus which can make a wholly well-balanced muscle exercise possible and can ease a pin like lumbago. SOLUTION: A seat 13 for an user is formed with a sitting part 29 and a back part 30, which is movable toward a diagonally upper direction along a back holding member 17a and a back holding member 17b. A pole body 20 forming a movable member 19 having a grasping body 23 is for the user to hold and the upper part of the pole body 20 is movable toward the seat 13 around an axis 21. One end of a wire 37 is attached to a second furnishing part 35 of the pole body 20 through a first revolving body 31 and a second revolving body 32. The other end of the wire 37 is attached to a first furnishing part 34 fixed on the rear side of the back part 30 of the seat 13. Thus, when the user pulls the movable member 19 toward the sear 13, a power is transmitted through the wire 37 and moves the seat 13 to the diagonally upper direction.
