PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a fingerprint with high accuracy without being influenced by the nonuniformity of a fingerprint sensor in a fingerprint detector. SOLUTION: The fingerprint sensor capable of outputting a multi-value signal corresponding to the recesses and projections of the fingerprint from each of a plurality of two-dimensionally arranged pixels, is used. The multi-value signal data (i, j) outputted from the binarization object pixel is compared with the average value of all the multi-value signal data (x, y) in a region A (n, i, j) around the pixel as the center. On the basis of the compared result, the multi- value signal data (i, j) outputted from the pixel is converted into a binary signal. A series of these processings is executed on all the pixels included in the fingerprint sensor. |
