PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display data stored in a programmable display unit by mean of terminal equipment. SOLUTION: A local control system 2 transmits screen data for specifying the operation of the programmable display unit 14 when the unit 14 obtains the contents of a device and displays it to an open server device 4. The display file generating part 42 of the open server device 4 converts the screen data into an HTML/XML file to be displayed in a client unit 5. Data (storage data) of the programmable display unit 14 is stored in a data storing part 26 and transmitted to a storage data storage part 62. When the operator of the client unit 5 requests the display of the stored data via the screen based on the HTML /XML file which is displayed by a browser 52, a stored data display file generating part 63 converts the stored data in the stored data storage part 62 into an HTML file and transmits it to the browser 52.
