PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable communication device, which is capable of easily containing a cord that extends from its body, will not come loose easily, and is provided with the magnet-side socket of a magnet connector, that is fixed to its tip and is designed to produce reduced effects on the magnet cards, even if the device is mixedly carried together with magnetic cards. SOLUTION: A portable communication device is equipped with electrical circuits 47 and 48, which display a scheduled communication performance, a housing case 44 which houses the electrical circuits, a cord 5 which extends from of the housing case 44 and whose one end is connected to the electrical circuit, and a magnet side socket 2 of a magnet connector provided to the tip of the cord 5, where a socket attraction face 44a, to which the magnet-side socket 2 is attracted, is provided to the exposed surface of the housing case 44.
