PURPOSE: An external heat sink for a notebook computer is provided to prevent the degradation of CPU(Central Processing Unit) performance due to the heat generated by the use of a notebook computer and to improve the performance of the notebook computer. CONSTITUTION: The external heat sink is made out of aluminum and is formed in the shape the same as that of the bottom face of a notebook computer to improve heat conductivity. The heat sink is constituted of heat emitting fins. The bottom face of the heat sink is inclined to efficiently use a keyboard. The front face is planar to write an advertisement. The aluminum heat sink absorbs the heat of a notebook computer. Since the heat sink is not in need of a power supply, the life span of a battery is lengthened.
