PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost structure of cooling effectively the magnetic core of an electrodeless discharge lamp. SOLUTION: The electrodeless discharge lamp 100 comprises an envelope 1 that is filled with discharge gas inside, a magnetic core 5, a coil 4 that is wound on the magnetic core 5 and generates a magnetic field in the envelope 1, a magnetic means 6 that is magnetically united with the magnetic core 5 and made of magnetic material, heat radiating means 12, 13 having heat conductivity, and a heat transferring means 11 that is thermally united with the magnetic core 5 and the heat radiating means 12 and transfers the heat generated in the magnetic core 5 to the heat radiating means 11. The magnetic means 6 splits substantially the convex closure that embraces the heat radiating means 12, 13 and the magnetic core 5 so that the heat radiating means 12, 13 and the magnetic core 5 may be separated by the magnetic means 6. |
