PURPOSE: An air brake protecting case of a railroad car is provided to avoid an accident due to the defective braking power by preventing freezing in the cold area and to make a brake system operate in a stable condition by preventing breakage due to flying stones. CONSTITUTION: An air brake protecting case(100) for a railroad car has a hexahedral valve box. A shut-off door(111) is formed on the front face of the valve box. A mount plate(112) having installation holes(112a) for easy installation of respective components of an air brake is prepared on the rear face of the valve box. The mount plate is made of aluminum. According to the use of aluminum, heat generated from a heating unit(120) is effectively transmitted to respective valves. Therefore, freezing or bursting due to freezing is prevented.
