PURPOSE: Provided are gas-generating compositions that are filled in an air bag system that expands an air bag of a vehicle passenger-protecting apparatus, or a pretensioner device that takes up a seat belt. CONSTITUTION: The gas-generating composition including ammonium nitrate and an organic binder, is characterized by a stabilizer for stabilizing the gas-generating composition by improving the adhesiveness between the organic binder and ammonium nitrate, wherein the stabilizer consists of at least one nitrogen-containing compound having a nitrogen atom with an unpaired electron. It shows resistance to temperature changes between -40 deg.C and 100 deg.C, repeated 200 times. |
