PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight separator for a fuel cell having a superior strength dispersing with grooving. SOLUTION: Expanded graphite is so compressed as to have the bulk density 0.02-1.5 g/cm3, and expanded graphite particles 65-85 pts.wt. formed by pulverizing it, reinforcing fiber 3-10 pts.wt. with its specific surface set to 3.0 m2/g or more, powdered thermosetting resin 5-30 pts.wt. as binder, and water are suspended to be formed into papermaking slurry. The slurry is subjected to wet type papermaking to be formed into a sheet, and the sheet is blanked to form grooves and stacked on either one face of top/bottom of a sheet to be a core or both faces. |
