PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to acquire detailed information in the neighborhood of a present position over a wide range. SOLUTION: The information acquisition terminal 1 acquires present positional information from a GPS satellite 3. The terminal 1 acquires name information of a building and a store in the neighborhood of the present position by using map information stored inside and transmits it to an information distribution server 2. The server 2 is connected to a network 4 to retrieve DB 9 to 12, which are connected to each of servers 5 to 8 connected onto this network 4, to acquire detailed information related to the building, etc., and distributes it to the terminal 1.
