PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crimp terminal and a crimp inspecting method for the crimp terminal capable of detecting the defective crimp of the crimp terminal caused by the loose thread fastening of a terminal screw. SOLUTION: An insulating film 6 insulating excitation is provided on the surface of the crimp terminal 1 crimped to a terminal board 4 by a nut (terminal screw) 5 and electrically connected to the terminal board 4 so that the insulating film is peeled off when the crimp terminal 1 is crimped to the terminal board 4 by the nut 5. The quality of crimp is decided by detecting the presence or absence of the electrical connection between the crimp terminal and the terminal board 4 by this crimp inspecting method for the crimp terminal 1.
