PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide more control and selection for a photographer about the visual appearance of a photograph obtained from a single photographing medium and enable to perform the above control after the exposure for the photograph. SOLUTION: A system and a method for providing a photograph finishing service are such that an exposed photograph film received from a customer is developed and scanned to provided a digital picture, a plurality of visual appearance examples are displayed for the customer on a color display medium, a selected preferable visual appearance is received from the customer, and, to generate a processed digital picture having the preferable visual appearance, the selected visual appearance is provided to the digital picture.
