PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing master disk of optical disk which enables stably to form pits which are different in depth. SOLUTION: This method for producing master disk of optical disk contains a process of forming resist layers 403, 407 and 411 in accordance with the respective steps of pit depth and a process of forming intermixing preventing films 405, 409 which prevent the resist layers 403, 407 and 411 from being exposed by a laser beam of a prescribed power or less. Thereon, the resist layers 403, 407 and 411 are laminated and, at the same time, the intermixing preventing films 405, 409 are formed between the resist layers.
