PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for automatically updating contents, with which information on a home page is automatically updated while using electronic mail. SOLUTION: This automatic contents updating system has a mail server for receiving electronic mail with contents from the terminal of a distribution source, received mail check means for confirming whether the electronic mail arrived at the mail server or not and deciding whether or not the received electronic mail shows a previously registered distribution source, display information preparing means for storing and registering the received electronic mails of each parameter corresponding to predetermined parameters, mail preparing means for transmitting the normal registration of the electronic mail to the terminal of the distribution source when the received electronic mail is normally registered, and a Web server for displaying the information stored corresponding to the parameter on the home page for each parameter.
