PURPOSE: Provided is a jelly type fire extinguisher which can be used in the fire of the early state before spraying water and hence effectively extinguish large-scale fire such as forest fires or fires in high storage building. CONSTITUTION: The jelly type fire extinguisher is extracted from seaweeds. It is mainly composed of starch and has a high viscosity and adhesion. Therefore, upon sprayed over the fire, it forms a cover of hydrocarbons and thus can protect water containing parts. That is, it can maintain a long cooling time and block oxygen supply so that the temperature is lowered under a firing point and fire does not develop through oxygen supply. Also, after extinguishing fire, the residuals can be decomposed or can be feed for animals and plants. |
