PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color management system capable of conducting a suitable color management even in the case of reading a profile not adaptable to the system. SOLUTION: The color management system conducts a color conversion by using the read profile P. A structure of the read profile P is decided by a table deciding unit 200. If the structure of the read profile P is not adaptable to the system, the read profile is converted into the profile 400 of a format adapted to the system by a table converter 300. At a color conversion time, the color conversion is conducted by using the profile 400 converted by a color converter 500.
