PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a positional information service system high in convenience, small in size and light in weight, and to provide a positional information sales method. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a means for converting coordinate data of GPS into flag data for a simple atlas 8, a means for distributing the flag data expressing a present position to a terminal 1 with GPS, a means for editing the atlas 8 in which the flag data is written and a means for matching the flag data and the atlas 8. Then, the atlas 8, in which a parameter required or positional information service is written, is prepared and sold to a subscriber terminal 1 with GPS through a network from a distribution server 7.
