CREDIT CARD HAVING FUNCTION OF PREVENTING ILLEGAL USE AND READING METHOD

PURPOSE: A credit card having function of preventing an illegal use and a reading method are provided to prevent a credit card possessor from suffering a financial loss by giving a function of preventing an illegal use to the credit card and suggesting a reading method. CONSTITUTION: On the front surface(20a) of credit card, a plurality of indications(24a-24d) indicating a reading direction of magnetic stripe(22a,22b) is formed and recorded a card number, an expiring month/year and an English name. On the back surface(20b) of the credit card, two magnetic stripes reading the discrimination information is formed in horizontal direction at both sides. Each magnetic stripe stores the discrimination information like a resident registration number and a password together or separately. The magnetic stripe is approved by reading the card according to the reading order. The reading order is set by the user at the time of applying a card issuance request and by sequentially selecting two reading directions of credit card. In case that the reading direction is not correct, a credit card approval is denied by a host computer of credit card company and the cash service is also denied.
